I. Indian River County Horizontal Control Network <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of December 11, 1996: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: GIJ4—' William G. Collins II - Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: December 11,1996 <br />SUBJECT: Indian River County Horizontal Control Network <br />In 1995 the Board of County Commissioners modified final plat survey <br />requirements to require ties to at least two Indian River County Horizontal <br />Control Network (IRCHCN) monuments if any portion of the platted site was <br />within a mile of one such monument. <br />However, the Network has never been defined by ordinance and, since it is <br />dynamic, will tend to change over time. <br />The purpose of this Resolution is to describe and identify what is meant by <br />the "Indian River County Horizontal Control Network", and to acknowledge the <br />dynamic state of the Network over time. <br />Approve the attached Resolution designating the Indian River County <br />Horizontal Control Network. <br />Deputy County Attorney Will Collins explained this- designation <br />is a request from the Property Appraiser's Office whereby any new <br />subdivision within 1 mile of a monument be tied to the network. <br />The purpose of the resolution is to identify the Horizontal <br />Control Network which is set up under contract with the Florida <br />Department of Environmental Protection. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 96-152 designating the "Indian River <br />County Horizontal Control Network". <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96- 152 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />DESIMMTING THE "INDIAN RIVER COUNTY HORIZONTAL <br />CONTROL NETWORK". <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida has adopted an ordinance set out as Indian River County Code Section <br />913.07(6)(D)(10); and <br />WHEREAS, said ordinance requires newly , <br />4u y platted developments within <br />one mile of a monument established in the Indian -River County Horizontal <br />Control Network to be tied into that network; and <br />1 • <br />DECEMBER 17, 1996 13:� ���" <br />
