Thompson, RE� <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Sandridge Golf Club <br />Lateral 'G' Pump House Design Services <br />Amendment No. 1 to Work Authorization No. 2 <br />DATE: January 15, 1997 <br />Carter Associates, Inc. is under contract with Indian River County to provide professional <br />engineering and construction inspection services for a wastewater transmission system <br />to interconnect the Hobart Road North Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant to the <br />Gifford Wastewater Treatment Plant Included in the project is the installation of a new <br />line from the Lateral 'G' Canal right-of-way to the effluent receiving pond at Sandridge. <br />The Consumptive Use Permit for Sandridge Golf Course requires that the County make <br />an odsting hydraulic pump in the Lateral °G' Canal permanent at its present location. The <br />pump is used to supply water to a Sandridge irrigation lake. To facilitate the construction <br />of this pump house, the Utilities Departrrt is wining to bid this work with the effluent line <br />that is being constructed in the same area. Public Works will administer the design <br />contract with the engineer and Utilities will administer the construction contract in an <br />overall Courrty cooperative effort <br />Attached is Amendment No. 1 to Work Authorization No. 2 for the design of the pump <br />station in the Lateral 'G' Canal. The lump sum fee for design, bidding, construction <br />administration, inspection and surveying is $6,720.00. This added to the current contract <br />amount of $86,715.00, will result in a new contract amount of $93,435.00. <br />Staff recommends that the Board authorize the Chairman to sign the attached Amendment <br />No. 1 to Work Authorization No. 2.
