Commissioner Tippin agreed that this is a matter of good <br />faith. He was concerned that the contractor sat in this very room <br />and did not apprise us of this change. He was very anxious about <br />the restoration of Wabasso Park and cautioned that it will take an <br />awful lot of restoration to satisfy him. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Amendment #1 to Work Order #1 - <br />Agreement with Clark, Roumelis, and Associates (CRA) <br />For Administering Wabasso Community Development <br />Block Grant (CDBG) Program <br />REF. LETTER: W. H. 'Bud' Clark to Edwin Fry dated Jan. 10, 1997 <br />DATE: January 17, 1997 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Now that the preliminary environmental assessment is complete for the Wabasso CDBG <br />project, the County's grant administration consultant, Clark, Roumelis, and Associates, <br />Inc., has indicated that the project can be accelerated and completion is scheduled for <br />Dec., 1997. The Consultant is requesting that the payment of their remaining <br />administration fee, $52,100, be paid over a twelve month period instead of a seventeen <br />month period as specified in the Original Agreement between the County and CRA. The <br />resulting monthly payment to CRA would be $4,341.67 for twelve months, instead of <br />$3,064.70 for seventeen months. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />By accelerating the project, the County can apply sooner for additional CDBG projects. <br />All costs will be reimbursed by the CDBG program. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends approval of Amendment #1 to Work Order # 1 between Indian River <br />County and CRA. <br />45 <br />JANUARY 28, 1997 <br />r t; FACE 410 <br />'A <br />
