Tuesday, February 4, 1997 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in County Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero <br />Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, February 4, 1997, at 9:00 a.m. Present <br />were Carolyn K. Eggert, Chairman; John W. Tippin, Vice Chairman; <br />Fran B. Adams; Caroline D. Ginn; and Kenneth R. Macht. Also <br />present were James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, County Attorney; and Patricia Ridgely, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Jim Newsome of the First Baptist Church gave the <br />invocation and Administrator Chandler led the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Eggert requested the addition of a Proclamation to be <br />presented to Retiring Employee Charles Coleman (5.B.) and Removal <br />of Non -Military Debris on South Beach (Genessee) and Budget <br />Amendment #013 (11.B.2.). <br />Commissioner Adams requested the addition of two items to the <br />Consent Agenda: 7.H. - Travel for Commissioners to Attend <br />Legislative Day, March 26, 1997, in Tallahassee; and 7.I. - <br />Appointment of Bill Thompson to Agriculture Advisory Committee as <br />Aquaculture Representative. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously added <br />the above items to the Agenda. <br />PROCLAMATION PRESENTED - INDIAN RIVER LAGOON DAYS <br />Chairman Eggert read the following proclamation and presented <br />it to Elliott Jones who was accompanied by David Gayler and Celeste <br />Rineheart. <br />February 4, 1997 <br />1 <br />BOOK 1 UU 1,KUE 8i <br />
