DeBloi AICP <br />Chief, Environmental Planning <br />DATE: February 4, 1997 <br />RE: Approval of Florida Communities Trust (FCT) Conceptual <br />Approval Agreements for State Cost -Share Acquisition <br />Funds for Round Island South and St. Sebastian P.U.D. <br />LAAC Sites <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at its regular <br />meeting of February 11, 1997. <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS - <br />In October, 1996, as recommended by the County Land Acquisition <br />Advisory Committee (LAAC), county staff submitted applications to <br />the Florida Communities Trust (FCT) for 50% acquisition funding of <br />the Round Island South and St. Sebastian PUD LAAC sites (see <br />attached maps). Those applications were submitted in order to meet <br />an FCT funding cycle application deadline, and were submitted <br />contingent upon subsequent approval of FCT grant agreements by the <br />Board of County Commissioners. Attached hereto are copies of the <br />FCT Conceptual Approval Agreements (CAAs) for the Round Island <br />South and St. Sebastian PUD properties, for the Board's approval. <br />The +312 acre St. Sebastian PUD property, which was purchased by <br />the County in November, was submitted for after -the -fact 50% <br />reimbursement from the FCT.
