Request to Use Fairgrounds Site for Staging Area/Overnight Camping - <br />Florida AIDS Bicycle Ride <br />REFERENCE LETTER: Greg A. Wilcox Logistics Coordinator, Florida AIDS Ride 2, to James <br />Chandler, County Administrator dated 01/27/97 <br />DATE: February 11, 1997 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Logistics Coordinator for the 275 mile Florida AIDS Bicycle Rider 2 has requested use <br />of the County Fairgrounds site May 16 - 18, 1997 for overnight staging/camping. It is <br />expected that 1,200 bicycle riders and support staff will participate. Each rider must raise <br />at least $1,500 for HIV/AIDS related services. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />In the past, the County has collected a $500/day fee for use of the Fairgrounds for events <br />such as a Circus, Flea Market, etc. The organization is willing to pay the fee, provide <br />18 <br />February 18, 1997 <br />r <br />
