IX. Buildings & Grounds - Twenty -Seven People <br />1. Maintain 13 Major Buildings of 437,700 s.f. (Does not count <br />Fire/Rescue Bldgs, Golf Course Bids., Community Centers or <br />Miscellaneous structures) <br />2. Approx. 23 acres of grass. <br />3. Presently retrofitting HVAC Controls at Main Library. <br />Estimate cutting utility bill by 15% <br />4. Reviewing all major facilities to identify retrofit replacements <br />thatwould reduce energy consumption and maintenance/operation <br />costs. <br />Looking at Performance Contracting - A program whereby we <br />contract with a firm that will perform certain retrofitting and gurantee <br />a dollar amount savings.'"Hse savings will be used to pay for these <br />renovations. After pay off the budget will be reduced accordingly. <br />The County does not have to put any money up front. <br />X. Probation -Four People <br />1. Case average is 250 per officer. (Orange County about 150) <br />2. Work Program (Probationers can work on County Projects <br />Only) 26,409 hrs in 95/96 - Equates to $133,131 Labor Savings <br />(78% increase over 94/95) <br />3. Community Service Program - 4,917 hours 95/96 <br />4.
