BOOK 100 PAGE 955 <br />County Attorney Vitunac expressed his opinion that perhaps the <br />LDRs should be expanded as to the buffer zoning if they are not <br />sufficient. <br />Commissioner Macht noted that the airport has been there 50 <br />years, but there are people who move to a property directly under <br />a flight path and then complain about the noise. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. <br />Ms. LeFeve again expressed Kerr Center's opposition to this <br />rezoning. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard in this <br />matter. There being none, she closed the public hearing. <br />Director Keating suggested consideration of whether or not <br />agricultural zoning could be treated differently if within an urban <br />service area. <br />Discussion followed regarding whether to rezone the entire <br />parcel or just the southerly 12001. <br />Staff was directed to come back within 8 weeks with a proposed <br />LDR amendment concerning the buffers between residential <br />development and active agricultural zoning within the urban service <br />area. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Macht, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 97-010 amending the land use element of <br />the Comprehensive Plan by changing the land use <br />designation for ± 15.2 acres located on the North <br />side of 26th Street approximately 1/4 mile East of <br />74th Avenue from L-1 to M-1 and providing <br />severability and effective date. <br />MARCH 189 1997 82 <br />� s <br />
