L_] <br />aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaar�aaaaaa <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The County Public Works Department has initiated a public improvement assessment for road <br />paving and drainage improvements for 101st Avenue between 79th Street and 87th Street in Vero <br />Lake Estates Subdivision in cooperation with the Vero Lake Estates Property Owners Association <br />and Drainage Committee. A providing resolution is presented for adoption by the- Board. <br />A separate resolution is presented for adoption to hold a Public Hearing to discuss the <br />advisability, cost and amount of the assessment against each property owner. This Public <br />Hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, 1997, at 9:05 A.M. in the County Commission <br />Chambers. <br />An assessment roll and plat has been prepared and filed with the Clerk to the Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the Board: <br />1) Adopt the resolution providing for the paving and drainage improvements for the projects <br />subject to the terms outlined in the resolution. The applicable interest rate shall be <br />established by the Board of County Commissioners at the time the final assessment roll <br />is approved. <br />2) The project cost is estimated to be $251,688.33. The following Revenues are <br />recommended: <br />Vero Lake Estates MSTU $232,353.59 Account No. 185-214-541-066.51 <br />Special Assessment 19.334.74 Account No. 111-214-541-035.51 <br />TOTAL $251,688.33 <br />3) Adopt the resolution setting the time and place of the Public Hearing. <br />After discussion, the public hearing date was changed from May <br />13th to May 20th, 1997. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 97-028 providing for certain paving and <br />drainage improvements to 101st Avenue between 79th <br />Street and 87th Street in Vero Lake Estates. <br />Providing (First Reso.) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-28 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR <br />CERTAIN PAVING AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS TO 101ST <br />AVENUE BETWEEN 79TH STREET AND 87TH STREET IN VERO <br />LAKE ESTATES, PROVIDING THE TOTAL ESTIMATED COST, <br />METHOD OF PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENTS, NUMBER OF ANNUAL <br />INSTALLMENTS, AND LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA <br />SPECIFICALLY BENEFITED. <br />WHEREAS, the County Public Works Department has been <br />petitioned for Road Paving and Drainage Improvement for 101st <br />Avenue between 79th Street and 87th Street in Vero Lake Estates <br />Subdivision. <br />WHEREAS, the construction of paving and drainage <br />improvements by special assessment funding is authorized by Chapter <br />206, Section 206.01 through 206.09, Indian River County Code; and <br />cost estimates and preliminary assessment rolls have been completed <br />BOOK " I PAGES I <br />APREL 15, 1997 19 <br />
