Personnel Director <br />DATE: May 12, 1997 <br />RE: Board's Request"%r`-Additional information in Regards to <br />Out -of -State Health Benefit <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At the Board meeting of May 6, 1997, the Board of County <br />Commissioners requested additional information regarding the <br />out-of-state benefit,__which is attached. <br />In addition, Mackie Branham with. O'Neil, Lee & West will be <br />available to discuss the out-of-state benefit and to answer <br />questions. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Due to the overall cost exposure to the health plan, staff <br />recommends the benefit for out-of-state members remain at the 80/20 <br />co-insurance with a $200.00 deductible. <br />MAY 20, 1997 <br />79 <br />GG ?I( 10i FAGE 5' <br />
