Commissioner Tippin observed that this was very expensive pipe, and Capital Projects <br />Engineer William F. McCain explained that this was a conservative estimate, that the final costs <br />would depend primarily on the DOT right-of-way. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard in this <br />matter. There being none, she closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY Commissioner <br />Macht, the Board unanimously adopted Resolution No. 97-61 confirming <br />the special assessments in connection with a water main to the east side of <br />U.S. Highway #1(300' Street to Harbor Drive); providing for special <br />assessment liens to be made of record. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97- 61 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />CONFIRMING THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS IN CONNECTION <br />WITH A WATER MAIN EXTENSION TO THE EAST SIDE OF U.S. <br />HIGHWAY #1 (39TH STREET TO HARBOR DRIVE); PROVIDING <br />FOR SPECIAL ASSESSMENT LIENS TO BE MADE OF RECORD. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County has, by <br />Resolution No. 97-57, adopted May 20, 1997, determined to make special assessments <br />against certain properties to be serviced by a water main extension to the east side of <br />U.S. Highway #1 (between 39th Street and Harbor Drive); and <br />WHEREAS, said resolution described the manner in which said special <br />assessments shall be made and how said special assessments are to be paid; and <br />WHEREAS, the resolution was published in the Vero Beach Press Journal, as <br />required by Section 206.04, Indian River County Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County passed <br />Resolution No. 97-58 on May 20, 1997, and set a time and place for a public hearing at <br />which the owners of the properties to be assessed and other interested persons would <br />have the chance to be heard as to any and all complaints as to said project and said <br />special assessments, and for the Board to act as required by Section 206.07, Indian <br />River County Code; and <br />WHEREAS, notice of the time and place of the public hearing was published in <br />the Press Journal Newspaper on Friday, May 23, 1997, and once again on Friday, May <br />30, 1997 (twice one week apart; the last being at Veast one week prior to the hearing), <br />as required by Section 206.06, Indian River County Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the land owners of record were mailed notices at least ten days prior <br />to the hearing, as required by Section 206.06, Indian River County Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County on <br />Tuesday, June 10, 1997, at 9:05 a.m. conducted the public hearing with regard to the <br />special assessments; 17 <br />June 10, 19971 <br />1 <br />�G' - U PAGE 739 <br />
