8. APPLICATION FOR STATE REVENUE SHARING -1997-98 <br />Finance Director Edwin M. Fry, Jr. reviewed a Memorandum dated June 20, 1997: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: June 20, 1997 <br />SUBJECT: State Revenue Sharing Application <br />FROM: Ed Fry, Finance Director <br />Bac ound Information <br />Attached to this memorandum is the State Revenue Sharing application that must be filled in, signed, <br />and returned to the State by June 30, 1997. This application must be completed and filed on a timely <br />basis in order for the County to receive State Revenue Sharing funds. For the 1996 fiscal year, the <br />County received $2,117,166.00 in State Revenue Sharing funds. As of May 31, 1997, the County <br />has received $1,410,924.00. <br />The Sheriff and the Director of the Department of Emergency Services have completed and signed <br />the appropriate sections of the application. The County has complied with all of the requirements <br />set forth in the application and has filed all reports that are required to be filed with the State. All <br />sections of the application have been completed and the application has been signed by the Chief <br />Fiscal Officer. _ <br />Request the Board of County Commissioners to authorize the Chairman of the Board to sign the <br />State Revenue Sharing application. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY Commissioner <br />Tippin, the Board unanimously authorized the Chairman to sign the State <br />Revenue Sharing application, as requested in the Memorandum. <br />COPY OF APPLICATION IS ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />9.B.1.
