Director Keating referred to a hand-out which was being circulated, Commissioner <br />Ginn's wording for Policy 4.7. <br />By 1999, the SWDD shall arrange for completed studies to determine the feasibility of the <br />maximum recovery of recyclables from our garbage stream and their conversion to useful <br />products on site without public subsidization and a waste to energy facility. <br />Chairman Eggert asked that they start with Policy 4.2, and Commissioner Ginn <br />thought that Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation (Ill) was best. Chairman <br />Eggert also liked the year to be 1999. Commissioner Tippin thought it was fine. <br />Commissioner Adams had concern that the mandatory door-to-door garbage collection <br />mentioned sounded like it had already been established. She recommended that they remove <br />", and" in the policy. <br />CONSENSUS to remove ", and" from III. <br />Chairman Eggert went on to Policy 4.7. <br />There was a lively discussion on the language of III, the P & Z recommendation. <br />CONSENSUS to remove "waste conversion" and add (after industrial park., mrd a waste to <br />energy facility) "and other alternative disposal methods." <br />Chairman Eggert then moved to Policy 4.8. CONSENSUS to delete Policy 4.8. <br />Chairman Eggert then moved to Policy 4.9. CONSENSUS to use III., P & Z <br />recommendation. <br />D. NATURAL GROUNDWATER AQUIFER RECHARGE SUB -ELEMENT <br />Commissioner Ginn had a question on page 33, Objective 5.
