Recommendation: Request that the Board approve the County Attorney attending the <br />upcoming telecommunications meeting in Orlando for the day and establish a policy that <br />the Chairman can approve day -only travel in the future for the County Administrator, <br />County Attorney, and Executive Aide to the Board. <br />Chairman Eggert had no problem with approving travel out -of -county in the State but <br />felt more information should be required; such as the costs involved, what is left in the <br />department's travel budget, less any events known at that time. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously <br />approved the County Attorney attending the upcoming <br />telecommunications meeting in Orlando for the day and <br />established a policy that the Chairman can approve out - <br />of -county day -only travel in the future for the County <br />Administrator, County Attorney, and Executive Aide to <br />the Board with the stipulation that when the request is <br />presented for signature, expended funds, committed <br />funds and itemized funds be considered. <br />7.G. COUNTY TAX DEED APPLICATIONS -COSTS FOR 18 APPLICATIONS <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of October 28, 1997: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: October 28, 1997 <br />FROM: Lea R. Keller, CLA <br />Legal Assistant <br />County Attorney's Office <br />RE: Costs for 18 County Tax Deed Applications <br />On June 17, 1997, the Board of County Commissioners approved the County paying certain <br />costs to the Tax Collector in connection with the sale of certain tax certificates that were eligible <br />for tax deed applications. <br />We were recently advised by the Clerk of the Court that, as part of the process of transferring the <br />title to the County, the sum of $4,856.02 is due (as shown on the attached itemizations). <br />Revuested Action: Board approve the County paying the requested amount to the Clerk <br />of the Circuit Court. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously <br />approved the payment of the sum of $4,856.02 to the <br />Clerk of Court, as recommended by staff. <br />NOVEMBER 4, 1997 17 <br />BOOK 103 PAGE 313 <br />L <br />
