the project subject to approval is $110,030.30. Part 1 of the water main <br />construction on CR 512 has presently had to cease to allow for demucking <br />of the organic soil to be replaced with suitable soil for the road by the <br />Public Works contractor. Due to this delay, the water main contractor <br />could not continue tc complete the project as per the agreement, and the <br />County has given the water main contractor (Treasure Coast Contracting) an <br />extension in the contract time of 40 days for a total of 200 days. This <br />extension of the contract time is also reflected in proposed Change Order <br />No. 2. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends approval of the <br />following: <br />1. Change Order No. 2 for the Louisiana Avenue Water Main Project (Part <br />2) for a reduction in the amount of $441.70. <br />2. New contract amount for the Louisiana Avenue Water Main Project (Part <br />in the amount of $110,030.30. <br />3.
