the project subject to approval is $110,030.30. Part 1 of the water main construction on CR 512 has presently had to cease to allow for demucking of the organic soil to be replaced with suitable soil for the road by the Public Works contractor. Due to this delay, the water main contractor could not continue tc complete the project as per the agreement, and the County has given the water main contractor (Treasure Coast Contracting) an extension in the contract time of 40 days for a total of 200 days. This extension of the contract time is also reflected in proposed Change Order No. 2. RECOMMENDATION The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends approval of the following: 1. Change Order No. 2 for the Louisiana Avenue Water Main Project (Part 2) for a reduction in the amount of $441.70. 2. New contract amount for the Louisiana Avenue Water Main Project (Part in the amount of $110,030.30. 3. Forty -day extension of the contract time to allow the road contractor to finish the work, for a total of 200 days.
