"Sonny" Dean, Direct <br />Department of General Services <br />Subject: County Easement to William Steele - 806 Banyan Road <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On September 9, 1997, the Board approved an easement on County property for ingress and egress for <br />the subject residence. Mr. Steele had requested the easement due to the County changing designation of <br />the old Eagle Drive public right-of-way to County owned property. <br />In order to facilitate Mr. Steeles' needs he was asked to furnish staff with accurate dimensions of his <br />property and the area needed for his vehicular traffic. Based on the drawing submitted an easement was <br />granted. <br />Mr. Steele has since returned and stated he had provided the wrong drawing and could not back out of his <br />drive way without encroaching on County property. He has requested an amendment for an additional 23 <br />feet by 10 feet to the southern boundary of the present easement. <br />It is staffs intention to offer the lot which contains this easement for sale to the public within the next few <br />months. Any easements need to be in place prior to advertisement for sale. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of this amendment and requests authorization for their Chairman to execute <br />the applicable documents. <br />NOVEMBER 25, 1997 <br />-14- <br />
