Cox, P.E4XX'— CONSENT AGENDA <br />Civil Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Request for Floodplain Cut and Fill Balance Waiver for Lot 10, Block 17, <br />Vero Lake Estates, Unit 3 <br />DATE: November 14, 1997 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />MGB Construction has submitted a building permit application fbr a slaigle fkaili'ly residence on the <br />subject property. The site is located in an AE special flood hazard zone, base flood elevation 22.4 <br />ft. N.G.V.D. In the attached letter from the applicant's engineer dated November 11, 1997, a waiver <br />of the cut and fill balance requirement is requested. The lot area is 1.07 acres. The volume of the <br />100 year floodplain displaced by the proposed grading plan is estimated to be 566 cubic yards. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The waiver request has been reviewed by staff and appears to meet the criteria of Section <br />930.07(2)(d)4. of the Stormwater Management and Flood Protection Ordinance for lots located in <br />the Vero Lake Estates Municipal Services Taxing Unit. <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Grant the cut and fill balance waiver based on the criteria of Section 930.07(2)(d)4. <br />Alternative No. 2 <br />Deny the cut and fill waiver.
