11 <br />WHEREAS, the Four Chaplains posthumously received a Special Medal for Heroism, never <br />before given and never to be given again, for their courage, leadership and heroic conduct; and <br />WHEREAS, by passing life's ultimate test, the Four Chaplains became an enduring example <br />of extraordinary faith, courage and selflessness: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that an interfaith memorial service <br />honoring the Four Chaplains will be held Sunday, February 1, 1998 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist <br />Church, 2206 16th Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida. <br />The Board fiuther encourages the citizens of this county to attend the memorial service to <br />honor the memory of the Four Chaplains and their supreme sacrifice. <br />Adopted this 27 day of January, 1998. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />ippin, C hiii <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously adopted the Proclamation. <br />7.
