PROCLAMATION - VERO BEACH CONCERT ASSOCIATION <br />Chairman Tippin read the following and presented it to Cora Witten. <br />PROCLAMATION <br />DESIGNATING FEBRUARY 17,1998 <br />AS VERO BEACH CONCERT <br />ASSOCIATION DAY IN <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, this year the Vero Beach Concert Association celebrates its 30th consecutive <br />year bringing quality music and dance to its many patrons along the Treasure Coast and <br />WHEREAS, the Vero Beach Concert Association is the oldest continuing presenting arts <br />organization in Indian River County; and <br />WHEREAS, the Vero Beach Concert Association has presented over 125 live <br />performances by symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, soloists, classical ballet and <br />contemporary dance troupes before enthusiastic local audiences; and <br />WHEREAS, each year, the members of the Vero Beach Concert Association have <br />generously provided at least one free concert for area students to hear and see live performances by <br />distinguished artists: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIIM BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />CONWSSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that February 17, 1998 be <br />designated as <br />VERO BEACH CONCERT ASSOCIATION DAY <br />in Indian River County. <br />Presented this 3rd day of February, 1998 to Cora Witten, President of the Vero Beach <br />Concert Association, in gratitude to all the volunteer board members and contributors, past and <br />present, who have given so generously of their time and money to bring quality music and dance to <br />Indian River County for the enjoyment of many area residents. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMSSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />5.B. INTRODUCTION OF NEW UTILITIES DEPARTMENT <br />DIRECTOR DON HUBBS <br />Administrator Chandler introduced the new Utilities Department Director Don Hubbs <br />to the members of the Board of County Commissioners saying that he was delighted to have <br />Mr. Hubbs join the Indian River County administration. <br />Commissioners welcomed Mr. Hubbs and allowed that Public Works Director James <br />Davis and General Services Director H.T.
