0 a <br />Commissioner Adams expressed her unwillingness to interfere with the Code <br />Enforcement Board. <br />Mr. Rhodes added that he had complied with all the requests of the Code <br />Enforcement Board and then, all of a sudden, the laws were changed and he was told he <br />could no longer operate in the old location. <br />Environmental Planning & Code Enforcement Chief Roland M. DeBlois explained <br />that Mr. Rhodes and The Landscape Stop are under an order of the Code Enforcement Board <br />to cease retail activities in the A-1 zoning district. A compliance hearing is scheduled for <br />March 23, 1998, at which time the Code Enforcement Board will hear testimony and receive <br />evidence, and consider whether to grant a further extension for compliance. It was staff s <br />position that the Code Enforcement Board is the appropriate entity to consider Mr. Rhodes' <br />request for extension. Staff recommended that the Board of County Commissioners defer <br />Mr. Rhodes' request to the Code Enforcement Board in this matter. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously (4-0 Vice <br />Chairman Macht absent) deferred Mr. Rhodes' request to the <br />Code Enforcement Board concerning allowance of an extended <br />time frame for compliance with county land development <br />regulations, as recommended by staff. <br />11.C.
