A public hear- <br />ing on the proposals will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 1998 at 9:05 a.m. in the <br />County Commission Chambers of the County Administration Building, located at <br />1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida. At this public hearing, the Board of County <br />Commissioners will make a final decision whether to amend the county's Com- <br />prehensive Plan. The proposed amendments are Included in a proposed ordi- <br />nance entitled: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE <br />FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY <br />CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR: <br />1. +/-18.7 ACRES, LOCATED APPROXIMATELY %4 MILE EAST OF <br />43rd AVENUE, ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF 41st STREET, FROM M-2 <br />TO CA; <br />2. THE FOLLOWING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN EVALUATION AND <br />APPRAISAL REPORT BASED LAND USE DESIGNATION <br />AMENDMENTS: <br />2a. +/-87 ACRES OF THE +/-a2 ACRE TRACT LOCATED AT THE <br />NORTHEAST CORNER OF 63rd STREET AND US 1 FROM C/I <br />TO M-1. <br />2b. +1-182.5 ACRES LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER <br />OF US i AND 41st STREET, FROM M-1 TO CA; <br />2c. +/-37,9 ACRES LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF <br />86th AVENUE AND 33rd STREET (CHERRY LANE), FROM L-1 <br />TO L-2; <br />2d. +/-9,687 ACRES OF ENVIRONMENTALLY IMPORTANT LAND <br />THAT HAS BEEN ACQUIRED BY PUBLIC AGENCIES FROM <br />AGA, AG -2, AG -3, L-1, L-2, C/l, C-2, AND C-3 TO C-1; AND <br />REVISING THE 15 ELEMENTS AND SUB -ELEMENTS OF THE COMPRE- <br />HENSIVE PLAN, BASED ON THE RECOMMENbAnoNS OF THE EVALUA- <br />TION AND APPRAISAL REPORT; AND PROVIDING CODIFICATION, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Interested parties may appear and be heard at the public hearing regarding <br />the approval of these proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendments.
