ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 98-36 authorizing County staff to enter into a <br />Highway Landscaping Maintenance Memorandum of <br />Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation in the <br />event of a Florida Department of Transportation Highway <br />Beautification Grant Award. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98 36 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />AUTHORIZING COUNTY STAFF TO ENTER INTO A HIGHWAY <br />LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCE MEMORANDUM OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION IN THE EVENT OF A FLORIDA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION HIGHWAY <br />BEAUTIFICATION GRANT AWARD. <br />WHEREAS, it is desirable that certain roadside areas within Florida Department of <br />Transportation rights-of-way must be maintained and should be attractively landscaped, <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires that Wabasso Causeway (SR 510) <br />be beautified and improved within various rights-of-way areas and has submitted a grant for this <br />project to the Florida Department of Transportation; <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to express it's commitment to <br />maintain the improvements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Indian River County, that County Staff are hereby authorized to enter into a Highway Landscaping <br />Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement between the County and the State of Florida Department <br />of Transportation in the event of an award of Florida Department of Transportation Highway <br />Beautification grant funds. <br />This is to certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution duly and legally <br />adopted by the Board of County Commissioners at a legal meeting held on this 1_ day of <br />March 1998. <br />ATTEST: <br />Jeffery K.
