April 28, 1998 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, met in Regular <br />Session at the County Commission Chambers, 1840 25' Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on <br />Tuesday, April 28, 1998. Present were John W. Tippin, Chairman; Kenneth R. Macht, Vice <br />Chairman; Fran B. Adams; Carolyn K. Eggert and Caroline D. Ginn. Also present were <br />James E. Chandler, County Administrator; Charles P. Vitunac, County Attorney; and Patricia <br />Ridgely, Deputy Clerk. <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. <br />2. INVOCATION <br />Chairman Tippin delivered the invocation. <br />3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Commissioner Ginn led the Pledge to the Flag. <br />4. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Commissioner Adams requested the addition of 13.B.1. (Under Vice Chairman <br />Macht's matters) a report on her recent trip to Tallahassee concerning negotiations with the <br />state for the purchase of the Carson Platt Estate property. <br />Chairman Tippin announced the addition of 13.D., Political Advertisements on <br />County -owned vehicles; and requested the addition of 13.A., Appointments to the Tourist <br />Development Council. He also requested that item S.B., Presentation of Proclamation <br />concerning Tourism Week be moved to the Consent Agenda as 7.M. <br />April 28, 1998 <br />1 <br />
