Such bills and accounts being on file in the office of Clerk Circuit Court. <br />The warrants so issued from the respective funds being listed completely in the County <br />Finance record, as provided by law, reference to -said record and the list so recorded <br />being made a part of these minutes as fully and completely as if the same were set out <br />herein in detail. <br />m The County Depository filed its monthly statement showing receipts and disburse- <br />ments of the various funds, which having been checked over was found to be correct. <br />The Board agreed to meet in a body on Wednesday# March 7th 1934, and make a <br />complete inspection of all the roads and bridges throughout the County. <br />There being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board <br />then adjourned until the regular meeting to be held in April 1934. <br />ATTEST: <br />Clerk. <br />TUESDAY, . APRIL 3rd 1934.. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at <br />the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A. M. Tuesday, April 3rd 19349 with the <br />following members of the Board present: ,J.J.P.Hamiltonp Chairman; J.D.'Yongue; R.E. <br />Ridge; John M. Knight and Edwin A. Helseth. Also present were Miles Farren, Clerk and <br />William Frick, Sheriff. <br />Henry Read, Roseland, appeared before the Board and presented a petition signed by <br />citizens in Commissioners District #1, with reference to the construction or repairing <br />of a bridge in that District. It was moved by Commissioner Mudge, seconded by Com1r.9 <br />might, that the petition be referred back to the committee. <br />Letter f rom H.E.Ashburner, of Rdselland9 respecting repairs to Hoseland Bridge <br />was received and read. A request having been made by Mr Ashburner that it be returned <br />to him, it was ordered that same be so returned. <br />Joe S. Earman, intangible tax official of the .State appeared before the Board and <br />advised that he was appearing in the capacity of a State Official. He read letters <br />from the State Comptroller to the Governor and the Governor's reply thereto respecting <br />the collection of personal property tax. He requested use of a County truck and two <br />men to assist the Tax Collector in collecting the personal property tax. The Board <br />agreed to co-operate in every way possible. <br />Frank M. Upton, Ft. Pierce, representing the CentmW of Progress Exposition held <br />in Chicago last year and to be continued this year and requested the County to appro- <br />priate $378.00 to assist in carrying on the Fair in 1934. Commissioner Helseth moved <br />that the sum of $300.00 be appropriated out of the Race Track fund surplus for this <br />purpose. There being no second to the motion the same was lost. <br />Axel T. Peterson appeared before the Board and requested that repairs be made on <br />Lateral "A" and other roads west of Vero Beach. He was advised the Board plans to do <br />this work. <br />Mrs. Frank Rosbottom appeared before the Bard and requested assistance in fight- <br />ing woods fires in the urban sections of the County. The Board after carefully con- <br />sidering this requesting, and taking into consideration the financial condition of the <br />County deemed it advisable to refer the same to the local Chamber of Commerce with the <br />recommendation that the matter be taken up with the various packing houses and see what <br />
