Vitunac, County Attorney <br />DATE: June 4, 1998 <br />RE: Proposed Public Hearing Dates <br />Expansion of County Seat <br />The Board of County Commissioners at Its meeting June 2, 1998, directed that <br />our office advertise for public hearings on the possible expansion of the County <br />seat to include the area of the proposed new office of the Tax Collector. The <br />suggested dates for these public hearings are June 23, 1998, and July 7, 1998. <br />Recommended Action: Staff recommends that the Board approve the requested <br />public hearing dates and authorize our office to proceed with the requisite legal <br />advertisements. <br />After discussion of Item 13.B., Vero Beach Mall, Commissioner Ginn questioned <br />whether these public hearings should be deferred until the Tax Collector returns from his <br />vacation and can discuss the possibility of having more space available. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously directed staff to delay the requisite <br />legal advertisements at this time. <br />11.G.
