F— <br />• <br />• <br />Commissioner Adams CALLED THE QUESTION and <br />MOVED TO STOP DISCUSSION. Vice Chairman Macht <br />SECONDED. The vote was 3-2 (with Commissioner Ginn and <br />Chairman Tippin opposed) and discussion was stopped. <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried 4-1 (Commissioner Ginn opposed). <br />Commissioner Eggert was very song that the City of Vero Beach was going through <br />this problem; she had tried to solve the situation, but her attempt had failed. She was not <br />getting requests from the people in her district and she was unwilling to try again. She felt <br />there was no use. <br />Commissioner Ginn reported that she was still getting requests from people in her <br />district. <br />Commissioner Adams advised that the comments she was getting was that the subject <br />just needed to "lay low" and "run its course". <br />Commissioner Eggert stated that Lost Tree Corporation people know that the FCT <br />money was sitting there and she was certain they monitor the Board of County <br />Commissioners' meetings. It is there if they wish it. <br />After a brief discussion about opening the floor to public discussion, Chairman Tippin <br />allowed brief discussion on new information. <br />Frank Coffee, 88 Cache Cay, made comments regarding the appraisals, having <br />purchased a copy of each, he was curious to read them because of the various figures that <br />had been mentioned in discussions and hearings. He brought out that a third appraiser had <br />critiqued the two appraisals. He gave specific information about the circumstances <br />surrounding the appraisals and information that was given in 1995 when the property was <br />inspected. He quoted from the appraisals to show some of the bases upon which the <br />appraisals were made. He further quoted the critiquing appraisal remarks. <br />Bob Leshe', Councilman from the Town of Indian River Shores, stated that his <br />constituents are very unhappy about not having proper representation on the negotiating <br />committees. He stated that the Town's people and those of the City of Vero Beach would <br />July 28, 1998 <br />55 <br />BOOK 106 pnf.448 <br />
