� 1 <br />BOOK 106 <br />11.G.1 TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM ENHANCEMENTS - <br />RESOLUTION 98-080 AUTHORIZING JOINT PARTICIPATION <br />AGREEMENT (JPA) WITH FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of August 4, 1998: <br />DATE: August 4, 1998 <br />................................................................. <br />' �' iii. •.iP 4.4!. •!;F <br />The FDOT has prepared a joint participation agreement (JPA), <br />between the FDOT and Indian River County, to allow the County to <br />receive funding from the FDOT for maintenance and enhancement of <br />the County -operated traffic signal computer system. The JPA <br />provides for $500,000 in system maintenance and enhancement funds, <br />to be made available over a five year period ® $100,000 per year. <br />The attached JPA is a standard agreement similar to many agreements <br />the County has executed in the past. The alternatives are as <br />follows: <br />Alternative No. 1 <br />Approve the JPA and authorize the Board of County Commissioners <br />Chairman's signature, on the JPA and authorizing resolution. <br />Alternative No. -2 <br />Deny approval of the JPA and cancel the project. <br />RuCO A=ONS_AM Fannia <br />Staff recommends Alternative No. 1 - approval of the JPA.
