Miscellaneous Bud <br />getAmendment 025 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of August 19, 1998: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: August 19, 1998 <br />SUBJECT: MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET AMENDMENT 025 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />FROM: Joseph A. Baird <br />OMB Director' <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following: <br />1. The State of Florida, Department of Labor, has charged Indian River Countv for <br />Unemployment Compensation payments to former employees for the quarter ending June <br />30, 1998. A budget amendment is required to reflect these payments. (Memo attached <br />from Interim Personnel Director, Tom Bisaillon). <br />2. The Summer Recreation program exceeded expectations and we received $11,677 in <br />revenue over the budgeted amount. Expenditures also were more than expected (Other <br />Professional Services) due to the need for additional people to supervise the children. <br />The attached entry appropriates funding. <br />3. Expenses for the 800 MHz system that were anticipated in 1996/97 occurred in the <br />1997/98 fiscal year. <br />4. The Sheriff received 593,055 for the month of June in prisoner revenue. The attached <br />appropriates funding. <br />5. The attached entry appropriates funding for the tax certificates in the amount of S4.189. <br />6. The attached entry appropriates funding fiber optic cable link and computer hook-up <br />between the Library and Courthouse. This will complete the loop between the County <br />Administration Building, Library, and Courthouse. Funds in the amount of 525,000 will <br />be transferred from the General Fund Contingency. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached budget <br />amendment. <br />August 25, 1998 <br />17 <br />BOOK 106 FACE J 12' <br />
