Davis, <br />Public Works Director- <br />SUBJECT: <br />irector <br />SUBJECT: Consultant Selection - Professional Engineering Services - 66== <br />Avenue between SR60 and 12°4 Street Roadway Paving <br />DATE: September 8, 1998 <br />The consultant selection committee, consisting of Michelle Gentile, <br />Engineering Division, and Jim Davis, Public Works Director, <br />interviewed three engineering firms on August 28, 1998, for the <br />purpose of consultant ranking for the 66th Avenue road paving <br />project between SR60 and 12th Street. Roger Cain, former County <br />Engineer, was also assigned to the committee but was not involved <br />with the final interviews. All three consultants interviewed <br />agreed to the two person interview committee. <br />After considering the selection criteria published in the R.F.P., <br />the committee recommends the following prioritized short-list: <br />1) Carter and Associates, Inc. - Vero Beach, FL. <br />2) Kimley Horn & Associates, Inc. - Vero Beach, Fl. <br />3) Masteller, Moler, & Assoc. Inc. - Vero Beach, F1. <br />Staff recommends approval of the above prioritized short-list and <br />authorization to proceed with contract negotiation with the first <br />ranked firm, Carter and Associates, Inc. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously approved the prioritized short-list and <br />authorized staff to proceed with contract <br />negotiations with the first ranked firm, Carter & <br />Associates, Inc.` <br />September 15, 1998 <br />
