COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR'S MATTERS - PROPOSED <br />SPECIAL JOINT MEETING WITH CITY OF VERO BEACH CITY <br />COUNCIL REGARDING LOS ANGELES DODGERS <br />Administrator Chandler advised that a proposal had been made by City Council of <br />City of Vero Beach to hold a joint meeting with the Board of County Commissioners to <br />consider a concept that is being developed which, if there is concurrence, would be presented <br />to the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. A joint meeting has been proposed because <br />included in that concept would be commitments from -both the City and County. He <br />suggested dates and possible times: Friday, October 30,1998 at 3 p.m. or Friday, November <br />6, 1998 at 9 a.m. <br />Following a brief discussion, the Commissioners arrived at CONSENSUS they would <br />be available for a joint meeting on Friday, November 6, 1998 at 2:30 p.m. They directed <br />staff to check with the City Clerk to see if City Council members would also be available. <br />(Clerk's Note: The special joint meeting was subsequently <br />scheduled for Friday, November 6, 1998, at 2:30 p.m.) <br />11 A L INDIAN RIVER COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL <br />SERVICES DIVISION - RENEWAL OF CLASS "A" CERTIFICATE <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of October 8, 1998: <br />TO: Honorable Board of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: Jim Chandler, County Administrator <br />FROM: Doug Wright, Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: October 8, 1998 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Renewal of a Class "A" Certificate of Public Convenience and <br />Necessity for Indian River County Emergency Medical Services Division to <br />Provide ALS/BLS Prehospital Emergency Medical Services <br />It is respectfully requested the information contained herein be given formal consideration by the Board of <br />County Commissioners at the next scheduled meeting. <br />October 20, 1998 <br />0 <br />52 <br />
