EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, PREPAREDNESS AND <br />ASSISTANCE TRUST BASE GRANT AGREEMENT - <br />DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES, DIVISION OF <br />EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT - CONTRACT NO. 99CP-05-10-40- <br />01-031 AND PURCHASE OF CAPITAL EQUIPMENT <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of October 20, 1998: <br />TO: Honorable Board of County Csioners <br />THROUGH: Douglas Wright, Director <br />Department of Emergency Services - <br />FROM: Nathan McCollum, Radiological Emergency Analyst 71/ G <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: October 20, 1998 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Emergency Management, Preparedness and Assistance Trust Fund Base Grant Agreement - <br />Contract Number 99CP-05-1040-01-031 and Purchase of Capital Equipment <br />Annually, the Department of Community Affairs/Division of Emergency Management administers the Emergency <br />Management, Preparedness and Assistance Trust Fund Base Grant Agreements (EMPA) with each Florida county <br />following authorization in Chapter 252, Florida Statutes. These funds are used to enhance and improve emergency <br />management mitigation, planning, response and recovery for Indian River County. <br />The attached agreement awards Indian River County a gross total of $126,274.00 for FY 98/99.
