BOOK 107 PAGE <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />In order to continue providing a strong Emergency Management Division program in Indian River County, staff <br />recommends approval of the FY 98/99 EMPA Trust Fund Agreement and fiords to be allocated as follows: <br />1. Continued funding of the salaries, benefits and operating expenses of the existing Emergency Management Planner <br />position and the existing Emergency Management Assistant position detailed in the 001-238 General Fund budget <br />account approved by the Board for FY 98/99. <br />2. Balance of EMPA Agreement funds to be retained in a contingency account for future FY 98/99 Emergency <br />Management Division program enhancements as approved by the Board. <br />3. Authorize Director Of Emergency Services to request advance payment of 25% ($30,068.50) of net total as <br />described in Attachment F of the Agreement. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Adams, the Board, by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Eggert being absent), unanimously <br />approved the FY 98/99 EMPA Trust Fund <br />Agreement with funds to be allocated to (1) <br />continued funding of the salaries, benefits and <br />operating expenses of the existing Emergency <br />Management Planner position and the existing <br />Emergency Management Assistant position detailed <br />in the 00 1-23 8 General Fund budget account <br />approved for FY 98/99; (2) balance of EMPA <br />Agreement funds to be retained in a contingency <br />account for future FY 98/99 Emergency <br />Management Division program enhancements as <br />approved by the Board; and (3) authorized the <br />Director of Emergency Services to request advance <br />payment of 25% ($30,068.50) of net total as <br />described in Attachment F of the Agreement; all as <br />recommended by staff. <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />OCTOBER 27, 1998 <br />
