RAUTH\� <br />AND STAFFED <br />OPERATIONS MANAGER br <br />BY: <br />DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: <br />SURPLUS COUNTY VEHICLE NO. 304 <br />BACRGROIIND <br />County Vehicle No. 304 was purchased as a new vehicle by Indian River <br />County in March 1986 in the amount of $105,890.00. It is a 1985 model <br />GMC -7000 camel sewer flush truck having the serial number 86560211 and <br />vehicle identification number 1GDP7D1Y5V52042. (See attached backup.) <br />ANALYSIS <br />At this time, the Department of Utility Services is requesting that the .Board of <br />County Commissioners declare the truck as surplus. Based on the current <br />market value, the truck has an asset value of $25,000.00 to $30,000.00. (See <br />attached estimate.) The Department of Utility Services has been contacted by <br />the City of Sebastian with a request to purchase the truck from the Utilities <br />Department. (See attached memo.) <br />REC011InEMATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services is requesting authorization from <br />the Board of County Commissioners to declare Vehicle No. 304 as surplus in <br />the amount of $25,000.00 and to sell the vehicle to the City of Sebastian at the <br />declared surplus amount. <br />November 3, 1998 <br />21 <br />• <br />
