The subject <br />.Properties are owned by several public agencies including the State of Florida, <br />Indian River County, the St. Johns River Water Management District, and the <br />Florida Inland Navigation District A public hearing at which patties in interest <br />and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard will beheld on Tuesday, <br />November 10, 1998 at 9:05am in the County Commission Chambers of the <br />County Administration Building, located at 1840 25th Street, Vein Beach, <br />Florida At this public hearing, the Board of County Commissioners will <br />consider authorizing transmittal of these amendments to Florida Department of <br />Community Affairs for its review. The proposed amendments are included in <br />Proper ordinances entitled: <br />1. AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, ; <br />AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT BY CHANGING THE <br />LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR 18 ACRES LOCATED ON THE EAST <br />SIDE OF SR AIA, NST NORTH OF THE TOWN OF INDIAN RIVER <br />SHORES,FORM L-2, LOW-DENSITY RESIDENTIAL -2 (UP TO 6 UNITS/ <br />ACRE) TO C-1, PUBLICLY OWNED OR CONTROLLED <br />CONSERVATION-1(ZERO DENSITY); AND PROVIDING <br />CODIFICATION, SEVERABJUTY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />2. AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT BY CHANGING THE <br />LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR ±37 ACRES LOCATED AT THE <br />NORTHEAST CORNER OF 8TH STREET AND INDIAN RIVER <br />BOULEVARD, FROM M-2, MEDIUM-DENSrrY RESIDENTIAL -2 (UP TO <br />10 UNrrS1ACRE) TO C-1, PUBLICLY OWNED OR CONTROLLED <br />CONSERVATION -1 (ZERO DENSrM; AND PROVIDING <br />CODIFICATION, SEVERABnXff, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />3. AND ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT BY CHANGING THE <br />LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR Af15.8 ACRE ISLAND LOCATED IN <br />THE INDIAN RIVER LAGOON AT THE WESTERN END OF ISLAND <br />DRIVE ON THE SOUTH BARRIER ISLAND, FORM C-2, PRIVATELY <br />OWNED ESTUARINE WETLANDS CONSERVATION-2.(UP TO 1, UNIT/40 <br />ACRES) TO C-1, PUBLICLY OWNED OR CONTROLLED <br />CONSERVATION-1(ZERO DENSrM; AND PROBING <br />CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />4.
