UW -97 -09 -DS <br />WIP NO. 473-000-169-339.00 <br />BID NO. 8051 <br />On April 14, 1998, the Board of County Commissioner's awarded Bid <br />No. 8051 to Treasure Coast Contracting (see attached agenda item <br />and minutes) in the amount of $55,349.00 to provide water service <br />and fire protection to the above -referenced project. The project <br />is now complete and the Department of Environmental Protection has <br />issued clearance to begin connecting customers. The Department of <br />Utility Services is now prepared to make final payment to the <br />contractor. <br />The contractor was previously paid $45,494.10 for 82°6 of the <br />project. Utilities staff is now prepared to make final payment in <br />the amount of $9,854.90 to complete the County's $55,349.00 <br />obligation to the contractor. <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that <br />the Board of County Commissioners approve final payment in the <br />amount of $9,854.90 to Treasure Coast Contracting and authorize <br />the Chairman to execute same, as presented. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Macht, the Board <br />unanimously approved the final payment in the <br />amount of $9,854.90 to Treasure Coast Contracting, <br />as recommended by staff. <br />NOVEMBER 17, 1998 <br />-51- BOOK .d.7 fAGEba <br />
