Because the bids were over budget, and Southern Petroleum <br />Systems was already under contract with the County to do the Fleet Management Fueling <br />Compound, Southern Petroleum has agreed to do the Sheriff's complex work for a price not <br />to exceed $88,000 and will be able to complete both jobs within the FDEP required deadline. <br />Commissioner Adams asked how long the County has known about the December 31 <br />deadline, and Director Dean responded that staff had been working on this for five months <br />and gave assurances that Southern Petroleum could complete the work within the allotted <br />time requirement. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board unanimously rejected all bids <br />and authorized staff to contract with Southern Petroleum <br />Systems for a price not to exceed $88,000, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />CONTRACT VOLL BE PLACED ON FILE <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO TBE BOARD <br />WHEN EXECUTED AND RECEIVED <br />11.G. 37th, 41st, AND 45th STREET IMPROVEMENTS.
