�Q 6 <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County that upon the completion of a County stockade in St. lassie County, Florida, that <br />this Board does agree to enter into an agreement to lease all its County convicts to <br />said St. Iueie County at and for the sun of 01.00 per year, and that we do urge upon <br />St. Incie County the completion of said stockade at the earliest possible time in order <br />that the taxpayers of this County may be saved the expense of the upkeep of County con- <br />victs without any benefit being received therefrom. <br />Upon being put to a vote the same was unanimously adopted. <br />.�.------- <br />`the f'0l�:owing resolO io;n was introduced by Comnissioner R. Be Vadge, who moved its <br />adoption: <br />AREAS, the state Board of administration has submitted certain proposals of pe <br />firms and corporations offering to sell certain bonds of the County of Indian River, or <br />obligations assumed by said County, under the provisions of House Bill wo. 30, acts of <br />the 1933 Legislatures and <br />wHEREAS, after carefully considering the said proposals, and taking into considera- <br />tion the value of said bonds and the amount of funds available for this purpose it is <br />deemed expedient and advisable to purchase certain of said bonds: <br />TMEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida, that the state Board of administration be requested to purchase the <br />following bonds: <br />One (1) bond of St Incie County Public Highway, 676, dated <br />Feb 1, 1920 due Feb 11 1942 at 45 flat, as designated "CO.,'. <br />Two (2) bonds of St Lucie County Public highway OW,6, dated <br />Feb.101920,due Feb 1,1948 and Feb 1 1950 at 49-3/4 flat. <br />JJs signated "D". <br />' The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Knights and upon being <br />put to a vote the same was unanimously adopted. <br />------------------ <br />RESOLUTION. <br />wREPSAS, - It has been brought to our attention that the City of Orlandohas announc- <br />ed plans for an All -Florida Pair to be known as "Florida On Paradew to be <br />held for 100 days in 19369 and <br />WHMMM# - Plans and financing for this fair are now going ford withma kiW''suc-. <br />oess, indicating that ample support is available to make it an outstanding <br />national event, and <br />WHEW10, - Such a fair would serve to attract many people to the state and would <br />be of great entertainment and educational value to winter visitors, and, <br />WMRW9 - The plans for the fair contemplate that it shall be thoroughly represents <br />-tine of all parts of the state and so shall bring benefit to all parts of <br />the state, therefore be it hereby <br />MESOLVED, That the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County commends <br />y the city of Orlando for its vision and energy in initiating the plans for <br />i <br />this fair and hereby expresses approval of such plane, and be it further <br />:RESOLVED, - That we urge the citizens of Indian River County that they 000perate <br />in as far as possible in the effort to make this fair an unqualified suc- <br />1 CeSle . <br />Resolution adopted by The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida, may 1st. 1934. <br />The several bills and accounts against the County having been audited, were exam <br />and found correct, were approved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of some.
