BOOK 108 PAGE 1 d <br />The SLA agreement is a matching grant and the County has met the matching funds requirement in the 001-208 <br />(Emergency Management) account without any additional match. This grant provides funds for training, <br />equipment and travel recommended by the Florida Division of Emergency Management. The attached <br />agreement awards Indian River County a total of $32,456.00 for FY 99. <br />RECOIVEWENDATION: <br />In order to continue providing a strong Emergency Management Division program in Indian River County, staff <br />recommends approval of the FY 99 SLA Agreement and funds to be allocated as follows: <br />1. Allocate $9,725.00 to account number 001-208-525-039.02 for recommended training and meetings. <br />2. Allocate $2,500.00 to account number 001-208-525-039.99 for registrations and conference attendance. <br />3. Balance of SLA Agreement funds ($20,231.00) to be retained in a contingency account for future FY <br />98/99 Emergency Management Division program enhancements as approved by the Board. <br />Staff further recommends appointment of Emergency Services Director Douglas Wright as the contract manager <br />for this agreement. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Stanbridge, the <br />Board unanimously approved the Agreement with <br />the State of Florida Department of Community <br />Affairs, Agreement #99EM-9X- 10-40-10-03 1; <br />appointed Emergency Services Director Doug <br />Wright as the contract manager for the Agreement; <br />and approved the allocation of funds set forth in the <br />Memorandum; all as recommended by staff. <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />11.B.2.
