r a <br />The Contractor has requested Oslo Road be closed for approximately 30 days in order to install the <br />large drainage culverts in the Sub -lateral B -7-E Canal. In order to complete the work in the period <br />of time called for in the contract, the Contractor desires to close the road which would reduce the <br />amount of traffic control and heavy equipment pulling in and out of traffic. We have asked the <br />Contractor to provide a credit on the maintenance of traffic during the time the road will be closed. <br />Closing will start on January 19, 1999 and re -open on February 17, 1999. <br />The Traffic Engineering Division will handle the detour and notification to all necessary agencies for <br />the road closing. <br />RECOI BM*4DATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $2,123.00. This <br />added to the current contract amount of $1,212,255.30 results in a new contract amount of <br />$1,214,378.30. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Change Order No. 1 <br />Commissioner Ginn asked, and Public Works Director James Davis confirmed that <br />the road was closed on January 19`' as scheduled. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Tippin, the Board unanimously approved Change <br />Order No. 1 with Dickerson Florida, Inc. in the amount of <br />$2,123, resulting in a new contract amount of $1,214,378.30, as <br />recommended in the Memorandum. <br />ej N 4 e ®Rd etQ <br />w �DFF AT.'ATT lrm r r. nr w ter.++ ..ter r�rr <br />IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO TBE BOARD <br />14.B.
