Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />THRU: Tom Frame, Director <br />General Services <br />FROM: Lynn Williams, Superintenden <br />Buildings & Grounds <br />DATE: March 1, 1999 <br />SUBJECT: Bid Waiver <br />Consent Agenda <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS: <br />Staff is requesting authorization to waive the bidding <br />requirements for the purchase of a Zero Turn Snapper Lawnmower. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS: <br />The attached memorandum explainsthe research and the savings <br />opportunity. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING: <br />Staff recommends the purchase of a 1997 "new" Model Z2205K <br />Mower from Vero Lawnmower at the price of $5,599.00. <br />Funding is available in account #001-220-519-066.49. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board unanimously waived the <br />bidding requirements for the purchase of a Zero Turn Snapper <br />Lawnmower and authorized the purchase of a 1997 "neva' <br />Model Z2205K mower from Vero Lawnmower in the amount of <br />$5,599, as recommended in the Memoranda. <br />(Clerk's Note: Following discussion of item 7.G., Vice Chairman Adams asked why <br />the recommendation was not for a more powerful motor, and Buildings and Grounds <br />Superintendent Lynn Williams advised that staffwas trying to standardize and deck size was <br />important to them, not the horsepower of the motor.) <br />MARCH 9, 1999 <br />16 <br />
