DeBlois,;AICP <br />Chief, Environmental Planning <br />DATE: March 31, 1999 <br />RE: Request for Board Approval of Florida Communities Trust (FCT) <br />Cost -Share Agreement Extension for the Round Island South LAAC Site <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal consideration by the Board of County <br />Commissioners at its regular meeting of April 6, 1999. <br />Staff requests that the Board of County Commissioners authorize the Board Chairman to execute <br />the attached "Addendum IV to Conceptual Approval Agreement" relating to the Round Island South/ <br />Florida Communities Trust (FCT) environmental land acquisition cost -share project. <br />On September 8, 1998, the Board of County Commissioners approved purchase of the northern six <br />of nine parcels in the overall project, under the 50% cost -share funding agreement with the FCT. <br />Closing on those parcels was recently completed The referenced Addendum extends the FCT grant <br />award expiration date to October 31, 1999, to allow for on-going staff negotiations to acquire the <br />remaining southern three parcels in the project. <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners authorize the Board Chairman to <br />execute the attached agreement addendum. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Stanbridge, the <br />Board unanimously approved Addendum IV to <br />Conceptual Approval Agreement with Florida <br />Communities Trust (FCT) and authorized the <br />Chairman to execute same, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />ADDENDUM IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />APRIL 6, 1999 <br />
