MISCELLANEOus BUDGET AMENDMENT 012 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of March 31, 1999: <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />DATE: March 31,1999 <br />SUBJECT: MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET AMENDMENT 012 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />THROUGH: Joseph A. Baird <br />K <br />OMB Director <br />FROM: Jason E. Brown <br />Budget Analyst <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following: <br />1. On March 23, 1999, the Board of Commissioners approved funding for 0 of July <br />fireworks displays for Sebastian and Vero Beach. Funding will come from the M.S.T.U. <br />reserve for contingencies. <br />2. The Road and Bridge Division requested funding for the replacement of a <br />stabilizer/mixer in the FY 1998/99 budget. Funds were allocated in the amount of <br />$100,000 to purchase a used stabilizer/mixer. Staff has been unable to acquire a reliable <br />piece of equipment for this amount. Therefore, the purchase of a new stabilizer/mixer <br />is warranted at an additional cost of $100,000. The attached entry appropriates funding. <br />3. The Emergency Services District has received reimbursement for assistance provided in <br />fighting the 1998 Florida Wildfires in the amount of $15,682. The attached entry <br />appropriates these funds. <br />4. On March 23,1999, the Board of Commissioners approved a request for CAD monitors <br />at the Vero Beach Police Department. Funding will be provided by 911 Surcharge <br />reserve for contingencies. <br />5. On March 23,1999, the Board of Commissioners approved utilizing FP&L Grant funds <br />to make work area improvements for the Radiological Emergency Analyst.
