11.F. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY USE POLICY - INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY EMPLOYEE ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY MANUAL <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of May 25, 1999: <br />TO: James E. Baker <br />Personnel Director <br />DATE: May 25, 1999 <br />RE: Implementation of Information Technology Use policy <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Office of Management and Budget has proposed a County policy, <br />Information Technology Use, which essentially outlines the <br />utilization and treatment of Indian River County information <br />technology resources by County employees. <br />This policy identifies the types) of County information technology <br />resources used by employees, and includes the unacceptable uses of, <br />and disciplinary consequences involved in connection with, the <br />misuse of the County's information technology resources. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approve implementation of this <br />policy as Section AM -903.1 to the Administrative Policy Manual <br />effective June 8, 1999. <br />(CLERK'S NOTE: THE PROPOSED POLICY WAS <br />SUBMITTED AS BACKUP WITH THE MEMORANDUM.) <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Stanbridge, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Ginn, the Board. nimously (by a vote of 4-0) <br />approved implementation of the Information Technology Use <br />Policy as Section AM -903.1 to the Administrative Policy <br />Manual effective June 8, 1999, as recommended in the <br />Memorandum. <br />11.H.1.
