r1 <br />Commissioner Adams reminded everyone this is a first step only but is an investment <br />in our future. There will be a public workshop on July 19'. <br />Commissioner Ginn noted that a healthy economy for the County depends on its <br />healthy beaches. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Tippin, the Board <br />unanimously tentatively approved a total of <br />$6,0002000 for beach restoration, with a first year <br />expenditure of $1,500,000; a second year <br />expenditure of $1,500,000; a third year expenditure <br />of $1,400,000, a fourthyear expenditure of $800,000 <br />and a fifth year expenditure of $800,000. <br />ROADS. BRIDGES & SIDEWALKS <br />Administrator Chandler noted that the projects listed under the optional sales tax <br />projects are not the only road, bridge and sidewalk projects. There are many other projects <br />which will be funded through other programs. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard <br />regarding Roads, Bridges & Sidewalks. There being none, the Chairman closed the public <br />hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously tentatively approved the <br />recommendation <br />COMPUTER SYSTEM <br />Director Baird noted that there is additional necessary software to purchase and <br />requested that the Board approve an increase in the recommendation to $7505,000. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard <br />regarding the Computer System.
