TOWER SPACE LEASE - <br />HOBART TOWER <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of June 30, 1999: <br />TO: Honorable Board of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: James E. Chandler, County Administrator <br />FROM: Doug Wright, Director I ?1"' <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: June 30, 1999 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Allied Diversified, Inc., Tower Space Lease <br />Allied Diversified, Inc. has requested to lease space from the County at Hobart Tower, which would <br />provide floor space adequate for a transmitter; receiver, and accessories, and tower space at a height <br />of 200 feet for their antenna. In accordance with the antenna height/fee schedule, the company <br />agrees to pay a monthly rate of $250 due on the first day of each month during the term of this lease <br />which totals $3,000 annually. The funds received from non -County agencies are used to offset <br />recurring and maintenance costs associated with the tower and/or other purposes as directed by the <br />Board. <br />The proposed lease will have no significant effect on the operation of the existing equipment within <br />the communications building. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staffrecommends approval of the Tower Space Lease with Allied Diversified, Inc., 2605 49'" Street, <br />Vero Beach, FL 32967, with an effective date of August 1, 1999, contingent upon receipt of the <br />required insurance coverages as provided in the lease. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Stanbridge, the <br />Board unanimously approved the Tower Space <br />Lease with Allied Diversified, Inc. with an effective <br />date of August 1, 1999, contingent upon receipt of <br />the required insurance coverages as provided in the <br />lease, as recommended by staff. <br />LEASE IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />Or -THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />JULY 69 1999 <br />
