• <br />Community Development Director Bob Keating reviewed the following special <br />requirements for rezoning requests which are specified by State law in a county -initiated <br />request which involves more than ten acres: the Board must hold two advertised public <br />hearings; one of the public hearings must be after 5:00 p.m. on a weekday, unless four <br />Commissioners vote to conduct that hearing at another time of day; and the second hearing <br />must be held at least ten days after the first hearing and must be advertised at least five days <br />prior to the second hearing. Director Keating the reviewed the information contained in the <br />above memorandum concerning the subject matter. <br />Director Keating then reviewed the information contained in the above memorandum <br />with respect to the subject property. <br />Commissioner Stanbridge inquired about the commercial area on the west side and <br />Director Keating responded. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard in <br />this matter. There being none, he closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Grin, SECONDED BY Commissioner <br />Stanbridge, the Board unanimously directed staff to schedule the <br />second rezoning public hearing on this matter at the regular <br />commission meeting July 27, 1999, at 9:05 a.m., as recommended in <br />the Memorandum. <br />9.A.5.
