September 4 & 9, 1998 Three (3) Vendors Two (2) Vendors LAST YEAR EXPENDITURE $19,966.00 RECOMMENDATION 'Staff recommends the following: • Award the bid to both bidders, CSR Rinker of Vero Beach as the first low bidder and Tarmac America of FT. Pierce as the second low bidder. This multiple award establishes a schedule of rotation to meet the delivery demands for the Road and Bridge Division • Establish an Open End Contract with both vendors and establish a not to exceed amount of $25,000.00 for the period October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000. • Authorize the Purchasing Manager to renew this contract for two (2) additional one year periods subject to satisfactory performance, zero cost increase, vendor acceptance and the determination that renewal of this annual contract is in the best interest of the County.
