TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Terrence P. O'Brien, Assistant County Attomeywffo <br />DATE: October 25, 1999 <br />SUBJECT: Fee for an application under Title Loan Ordinance <br />The Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance 99-27 "Titre Loan <br />Ordinance of Indian River County" September 28, 1999 and the ordinance <br />became effective October 4, 1999. <br />The Ordinance requires a license to operate a title loan business and it <br />necessarily requires an application for license be submitted. The costs of <br />processing such an application is estimated at $100 and a renewal at $50.00. <br />The attached proposed Resolution if adopted would establish these fees for the <br />filing on an initial application and renewal. <br />Staff recommends adoption of the attached Resolution. <br />Commissioner Ginnrequested that the word "annual" be included in the provision for <br />a renewal fee of $50.00. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />Commissioner Adams absent) adopted Resolution No. 99-120 <br />establishing a fee for an application under the title Loan <br />Ordinance. The word "annual" shall be added to the renewal <br />provision. <br />November 2, 1999 <br />23 <br />
