HUBBS, P.E. k' D° t1 <br />DIRECTOR OF VICES <br />SUBJECT: TASK AUTHORIZATION NO. 1- HARTMAN AND ASSOCIATES <br />CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT <br />BACKGROUND <br />On April 7, 1998, the Board of County Commissioners approved the execution of a Professional <br />Services Contract between Hartman and Associates, Inc. and Indian River County to perform a <br />User Charge Analysis. Section 16 of the Professional Services Contract provided for Continuing <br />Consultant Services for a three-year period provided that the Board of County Commissioners <br />approved a Task Authorization for all extra work. (See attached). <br />On June 22, 1999, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing for the finalization of <br />the Indian River County Department of Utility Services water/wastewater, reclaimed water, and <br />sludge user -charge analysis, and approved Ordinance No. 99-16, and Resolution No. 99-58, <br />adopting comprehensive rates and charges.
