Kings Highway (5Lth Avenue) Improvements - Dickerson <br />Florida, Inc. - Partial Release of Retaina.ge <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of November 29, 1999: <br />TO: James Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E. <br />Public Works Director <br />FROM: Terry B. Thompson, P. <br />Capital Projects Manage, <br />SUBJECT: Kings Highway Improvements <br />Partial Release of Retainage <br />DATE: November 29, 1999 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Construction of Phase I, Kings Highway Improvements from 121" Street to 26h Street is <br />substantially complete. The contractor, Dickerson Florida, Inc., is requesting a partial <br />Release of Retainage. <br />The attached Payment Application No. 19 reduces the retainage withheld on the work and <br />materials to date from 10% to 5%. Final Payment and Release of Retainage will be <br />brought to the Board for approval after the project punch list has been satisfactorily <br />completed. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the Board approve a partial Release of Retainage in the amount <br />of $271,178.91. Funding is from Account 101-158-541-067.31. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Application for Payment No. 19 - Revised <br />Commissioner Grin commented that what has been done on Kings Highway thus far <br />looks nice and the traffic is moving along. <br />Chairman Macht reported that bids will go out next year to extend the improvements <br />to 4' Street.
